Hi,
We also received this model 2 weeks ago. Faced a differrent problem of the table surface coating wearing off after cutting 20 pieces of pine.
Then found that the 90 degree slider was sticking. After closely checking we can see the aluminium slider was cutting into the top coating and wearing this so it was getting stuck.
This was quite dangerous as it was making the wood stick while cutting and can make the wood fly out of the hand..
We asked our suplier for a repalcement. They sent a new one yesterday.
Immediately the 90 degree was doing the same as the original one, we only cut 8 pieces of pine ?
There is also so much sideways movement of the slider in the rail.
This is such a poor quality item.
This unit was manufactured in Nanjing Bevon Power tools factory . Not everything from China is poor quality..
Manufacturer QC is important and in this case this is lower quality than a Cheap Home person use brand.. This model is branded and sold as a professional item... No professional can accept to have little use and the surface of the table be worn away..
This item was purchased to upgrade a small school wood workshop.
We used the machine to make the new tables for students.
This unit will have use only by tutors so will be used very little.
Already it looks years old.
The table suface should be of cast aluminium quality and not pressed steel and cheap paint.
The last picture shows the rail is also not sitting level with the table. So your wood sits on this rail and changes the angle on the cut.
We also bought a Bosch professional slide mitre saw.
This is a reasonable quality item..
This GTS 635-216 Professional table saw is terrible quality and does not deserve to be sold..
Even a home user should not face the poor quality of this badly designed item.
We will be posting this on other forums to warn other buyers.
